Beast of the Box is designed to accommodate anywhere from 1 to 12 players/teams.  The goal of this game is to get in a great training session while having fun with friends!  In this is game, you will use your strength, skill, athleticism, strategy, and luck to earn enough points to be declared the Beast of the Box! The game is best played in a large space that can accommodate 2-12 players or teams.  Most of the challenges do require equipment typically found in a fitness studio, home gym, garage gym or functional fitness setting.

The Game Master

Each game must start with the selection of a Game Master.  The Game Master is in charge of forming teams, adjusting movement standards and weights, keeping time, keeping the game moving, and awarding points.  The Game Master may play along if desired!

It’s all in the Cards


The “Game Master“ will deal one challenge card to the “Chosen One” and all will compete for the points indicated on the card. But, it’s not that simple… you could also receive special challenges and “Game Changer” cards that will even the playing field in a split second. Not to mention, the water break tokens that can also be strategically used to either take a break or make another player take a break.

Game Options

Competitive: Each player attempts to win as many points individually as possible to be declared the Beast of the Box.

Teamwork: Small teams or pairs ranging from 2-4 athletes will compete for points against the other teams for bragging rights.  You may send in one partner to compete or all members for a better opportunity to score some points.

Solo-Option: Set the timer to complete as many challenges as possible within that timeframe.
